John R. Lane, MAI  has had an impressive career spanning several decades in the field of real estate. He has experience in commercial lending, underwriting, and appraising. In 1999, he founded Lane Real Estate Appraisals, Inc. in Richmond, Virginia.

John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee in 1973 and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982. His commitment to excellence is evident by attaining an MAI designation in 1996 from the Appraisal Institute. He also holds a Certified General Real Estate license in the state of Virginia.

With a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record, John R. Lane is a prominent figure in the Virginia real estate appraisal industry. He has experience appraising apartments, retail, industrial, office, single family residential and 2-4 unit residential properties.

William F. Lane, MAI joined Lane Real Estate Appraisals in 2003 after graduating from the University of Virginia with a concentration in Finance and Marketing where he also obtained an All ACC Scholar Athlete Award as a member of the baseball team. He obtained his MAI from the Appraisal Institute in 2015. William is a licensed Certified General Appraiser in the state of Virginia.

He has an extensive background in inspecting, data collection, analysis, and the preparation of comprehensive reports for both commercial and residential properties. William has been an invaluable asset to his firm. He has experience with vacant land, industrial, office, mixed use, single family residential and 2-4 unit residential properties.

Bryan Lane joined Lane Real Estate Appraisals, concentrating on single-family residential properties. He graduated from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in 2007. He returned to Richmond after several years of helping special needs individuals in Alaska. He is currently working towards his real estate appraisal license for the state of Virginia.
